Here you will find all the maps that I've made for Quake. These are also released under the name ComfyByTheFire on Slipgate Sightseer. To play these, you will need a copy of Quake 1, purchasable through Steam or otherwise, and then the Ironwail or vkQuake source port. I've made a quick guide here:
You are Ranger, an operator of the UTJR stationed at a secret, multinational research facility in Finland. You are being deployed to investigate the disappearance of a survey team that went missing beyond the slipgate, cast into the farthest reaches of existence. Yet through the thin veil of reality, you find only a desolate plane of flesh and despair, and a dread voice that beckons your name.
This currently requires the newest version of vkQuake! 1.31.0+. Modern hardware is also recommended.
An Egyptian ruin with a dark secret. Contains a story, lots of quad runs, randomized elements, and plenty of secrets. Runs on the Copper mod, which is included. Produced in 3-4 months.
Please play one difficulty lower than you normally would; hard and nightmare are intended to be impossible for the majority of players.
This requires the Ironwail source port, and will not run on default Quakespasm.
You wake within the ruins of a rotting moon wreathed in a landscape of withered flesh. The sky is dark, every star in existence swallowed into the blackness, and the only thing you can feel is the crushing loneliness of a dead universe.
This is my entry from the Meat Jam pack, a collection of community-made Quake maps. Open the console in game "~", type "game carrionstar", and then "map carrionstar"
Requires either the latest vkQuake, a dev build of Ironwail which can be downloaded on the Meat Jam Slipgate Sightseer page.
A large prototype-textured map with non-linear progression, slaughter fights, and trick jumping. Runs on the Copper mod, which is included. Originally intended as an entry for SM224, and was produced in a little over a week.
Requires up-to-date Ironwail or vkQuake on Protocol 999. Quakespasm will encounter bugs.
Please play one difficulty lower than you normally would; hard and nightmare are intended to be impossible for the majority of players.
A nameless ruin that hungers for violence. Contains quad runs and slaughter fights.
Originally a part of Snack Pack 3, and was produced in about a week.
Please play one difficulty lower than you normally would; hard and nightmare are intended to be impossible for the majority of players.
The start map I made for Meat Jam, a community map jam for Quake 1, where participants had a month to create a level focusing on meat. The download link on here only contains the start map. The download on Slipseer contains the entire jam, with 12 additional maps, including the start map. Runs on the Quoth mod, which is included, and adds new enemies, weapons, and powerups.
